This privacy policy explains how Sincronice ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and safeguards personal information when you use our website and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)and the Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).

1. Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

We process personal data for the following purposes and based on the legal bases outlined in the GDPR:

2. Data Collected During Informational Use

When you visit Sincronice without creating an account, your browser automatically transmits technical information to our servers (operated by Vercel Inc.):

These log files are processed to ensure stability and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and automatically deleted after 30 days, unless required for the investigation of security incidents.

3. Hosting and Content Delivery

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which may process minimal metadata for service delivery. Data centers are located in the EU and the U.S. A Data Processing Agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) and Standard Contractual Clauses are in place to ensure compliance.

4. Registration and Use of Sincronice

When you create an account, we process your information (e.g., email, password, Firebase credentials) to enable your participation. Event data, scheduling preferences, and availability information are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

A data processing agreement with Google including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses ensures adequate protection for international data transfers.

5. Communication

If you contact us via email, we store your message and contact details for the purpose of responding. Data is processed based on Art. 6(1)(b) (contract-related inquiries) or Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in efficient communication). Data is deleted once the request has been resolved and no retention obligations remain.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., Local Storage) to store preferences and session data. Only technically necessary cookies are used unless you provide consent for optional analytics or advertising cookies.

Legal basis: § 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (necessary for operation) andArt. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent for non-essential cookies). You can manage cookie preferences through your browser or our consent banner.

7. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to evaluate usage patterns and improve user experience. Data is pseudonymized and IP anonymization is enabled. You can prevent analytics tracking by using the Google opt-out browser add-on.

8. Advertising

Sincronice uses Google AdSense to display relevant ads. Personalized ads are only shown if you consent to marketing cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie banner. For more details, visit the Google Advertising Policy.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Data is retained only as long as required for the stated purpose or by law:

Account data: until account deletion
Analytics data: up to 14 months
Log data: up to 30 days
Communication records: deleted after case resolution

If you delete your Sincronice account, associated data is erased within 30 days, unless legal obligations require longer retention (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

10. Children's Privacy

Sincronice is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided data without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

11. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized access. Data is transmitted exclusively via encrypted connections (HTTPS).

12. International Data Transfers

Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework orStandard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

13. Your Rights as a Data Subject
